primary fundraiser.


BCSAR has also sponsored barn dances.


Retiring Sheriff Chip Roos received an
Appreciation Award from BCSAR at their pot-luck dinner held in his honor.

BCSAR sponsors a
local Soccer Team.


The Lake-to-Forest Triathlon,
although no longer active, was one of the primary fundraisers. BCSAR
provided emergency medical personnel and traffic control. Members that were
also members of the local amateur radio club also provided emergency
communications.

Long Bridge Swim

and reporting swimmers who appear to be in distress.

Rescue meetings always included training, competition, fellowship and lots
of good food.





An exception to policy was required in 2000 to allow 3 of the 6 ISSAR
officers to be from the same county (Bonner).

The Lion's Club Annual 4th of
July Parade is a big event in Sandpoint.



Clark Fork also celebrates Independence Day with daylong activities.
For several years, BCSAR maintained a food booth and occasionally, would
hold a raffle.

BCSAR participated in the Safety Fair hosted by Coldwater Creek.

Make-A-Difference Day
The first year BCSAR participated in they received an
honorable mention. The second time, all activities were terminated when
assistance was needed to rescue an ATVer (see Missions).
