NIMS

The National Incident Management System provides a systematic, proactive approach to guide departments and agencies at all levels of government, nongovernmental organizations, and the private sector to work seamlessly to prevent, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate the effects of incidents, regardless of cause, size, location, or complexity.  ~~~FEMA~~~

BCSAR requires all members to have taken, as a minimum, IS-100.b - (ICS 100) Introduction to Incident Command System.  This course provides an overall view of who may be involved in an incident, what their title and function may be, and your place within the framework.  The course is free and may be taken on-line at your leisure..

Upon successful completion of the course, provide the Commander with a copy of your certificate.  The original should be maintained in your personal files.  Many agencies require IS-100, 200, 700 and 800.  These are also free and can be taken on-line.

Please support those who support us.  Those businesses and individuals listed in the right column above have made cash contributions, provided other material support, or have released their employees to participate in search and rescue activities.  Some own their own business and their participation, at times, is at great sacrifice to that business.   The families of all emergency response personnel have our gratitude for sharing their loved ones with BCSAR and with the community.

Thank you

for your support:
