First Responders, members of a SAR Unit, Fire-Rescue, or Law Enforcement Agency, or individuals who have an interest in Rescue Operations, are invited to participate in this Winter Survival Skills Training and Exercise. Agency heads are requested to share this invitation with the other members of their agency as well. We are providing this advanced invitation so you have time to plan and can save the dates for this training. This training is of particular value to those operating in cold field operations (e.g. snowmobile rescue operations) who may be required to spend the night in the field with the patient.

SAR Pack
A list of basic personal items and equipment that all SAR personnel are to bring to every SAR operation has been compiled. The items included should sustain the member for 72 hours. Members may add to the pack to meet their individual needs.
Special teams may require additional items or an additional pack. Teams should develop a basic list to meet their 72-hr needs. When approved by the Commander and Team Leaders, a copy will be included on the DOWNLOADS page.
Included in the pack(s) should be a copy of the list(s). Members may note additional items needed, items used and in need of replacing, as well as, noting the expiration date for those items with a specific shelf-life.
